Caterpillar Costume

The Caterpillar Costume is quite popular and can be worn by newborns, toddlers and adults. These costumes are available in stores and they can be made at home as well. These costumes can be very colorful and are popular during Halloween and in costume parties. The caterpillar costume can be made in a variety of ways and the each costume will have a different look to it.
An infant is a sight to see in a caterpillar costume. For making a caterpillar costume for an infant you can take a couple of fleece tubes and bunch the outer one with placing elastics so the “swollen” parts look like the segments of a caterpillar's body. The head can be in the form of a hood with two springy antennas stuck on top. Matching mittens can be added to complete the picture. The bottom portion is closed with a drawstring to facilitate a quick diaper change.

For an adult a bizarre looking Caterpillar Costume is available, which can be slid over the body, and has an opening for the face. The costume is made of foam which is of a sturdy type, and is blue color. What gives this outfit a bizarre appearance are the three pairs of arms and three pairs of legs sticking out on the top and at the bottom respectively. The hands have white gloves and the feet have a yellow shoes which have a curled tip. This costume can be zipped up and the arms and legs are hollow inside in case you need to put stuffing for a more realistic look.
A simple Caterpillar Costume for a fancy dress can be constructed out of a fridge box, which can be lifted over the head and worn. The outer portion can be cut and colored to resemble the caterpillar.
